Okay, it's four in the morning and I woke up because it was too dang hot out. It's not even the heat, you know, it's the humidity. I was going to read a book or something, but turning pages was just too much to handle. It's thunderstorming now, but it's a warm thunderstorm the fuck and I'm not entirely sure it's going to cool the temperature down. It might. WE'LL SEE.
I've been playing xbox for about an hour to distract myself. My brother randomly picked up a game for me because he thought I'd like it. (But I think I might have mentioned it to him, so I suspect he's just being sweet.) It's called
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.
Basically it's post-apocalyptic earth (I'm assuming, since I'm crawling through a broken New York) but it's far enough in the future that instead of being that gritty tech and zombies apocalypse, it's that machines-took-over everything over grew with wildlife kind of apocalypse.
Honestly, it reminds me of the post-apocalypse Japan artwork that
[Tokyogenso] did. There's an English site of the same link -
[here].
I suppose I could just reference
[this screencap] from the actual game. Meh.
I've downloaded another game called
Stacking, which you play as Russian stacking dolls. 8D The reviews look good and I can't resist something this adorable. I've watched the opening cutscene, and it's all old school silent film style, and your main character is the littlest of the stacking dolls in his family. HIS NAME IS CHARLES.
So basically, I'm playing as CHARLES and I'm going to SAVE THE FAMILY THAT WAS TAKEN FROM ME.
If I meet a doll called Erik, I will die.
ALSO. If you approach another doll from behind, you can slip inside them and control them 8D STACKING.
This game is so cute. Going to go play it now ♥
