I've been pretty omfgbabble-ly about Star Trek lately to the point of changing my layout and profile to match but there is still other stuff in the brainspace, I swear.
Harry Potter and the Halfblood-Prince
I've seen it twice, now - and didn't realize until the second time through that this was HBP and not DH. I swear to god, I don't remember much about HBP - the only things that register on my brain for that book are a) Dumbledore dies, and b) RAB. The movie, overall, was good, but it wasn't so spectacular and stunning that I'll rave about it. I don't think this is a reflection on the movie itself, but rather on the fact that the book holds little interest to me. When I'm watching the movie, I'm enjoying it, but afterwards, I find it difficult to remember exactly what went on. :/
What I liked:
- the actor for Tom Riddle at Hogwarts. Suitably creepy, loved his voice, and he did a marvelous job of the part. I hope any further flashbacks have him as the actor and that they don't recast him.
- the scene at the cave, Dumbledore being a badass, and that one Inferiri (sp?) that I'm convinced is a nod to being Regulus.
- Alan Rickman, his hair and his robe. I loved him in this movie, and while his acting is the same as the others, I think I just liked him better this time around? I don't know what changed. He just seems more quirky and dynamic, if possible.
- I love that part where Harry asks Sev where Dumbles is travelling to, and he just walks away. XD;
- Sectumsempra (sp?) scene, Draco's fighting style, Sev's robes in the water.
- the scene at Sev's house with Bella/Narcissa. I love the part with them walking through the alley between houses. I don't know why specially, but I could really feel the relationship between them.
- Remus at the Burrow, and his Sencing of Things in the field. "Oh, that's just crazy Remus being crazy, lolol" Ah, no - that's Remus knowing Something's Up. Dumbasses.
- Dumbledore and the dragon's blood at Slughorn's place - I think that's particularly awesome~
- the scene with Katie and the necklace. D: Creeeepy.
- RUPERT FUCKING GRINT AND ALL HIS SCENES.
- The random death eaters. I like to think they're the lestranges, but I don't know why they'd keep masks on. :/ The first one walking out of Ollivander's with the wands under his arm has a really nice body~ Seriously. I don't know why I noticed that, but. It's true~
What I did not like:
- Tom Felton's crying. :/ Sorry, Tom.
- Ginny tying Harry's shoe - YOU'RE BETTER THAN THAT, GIN.
- Tonks being all knowing about 'the first day of the cycle is the worst'. SNARLGROWL.
- Narcissa's hair.
- "What does it feel like when you see Ginny with Dean?" What kind of lame-ass question is that?
- That I did not see F&G's posh dragonhide boots.
- That the Burrow went up in flames - did this actually happen in the book?
- Draco 'gatecrashing'?
- That Ginny took Harry to go hide a book that Harry couldn't know the location of. Wut.
- Harry's wardrobe is always the same! Why is this? :/
Augh, worktime now. Will write about trip and lately, later.
