Thus far, it’s been a pretty good day. Everything, from the elation of waking up to the woman of his dreams, to the blissful moment when the hangover cure named after you finally goes into effect, has put just a little more spring in Caleb’s step. After getting a second one to go, Caleb teleports back to his apartment.
He can’t help but pause in the doorframe and smile some at the sight of Kenna, still passed out at three o’clock in the afternoon. He sets the hangover cure down on the table next to the bed, and returns to his living room.
Caleb melts into the recliner, and begins going back through the book he’s selected. John Keegan’s analyses never fail to stimulate the brain.
