Dad: Tell your mom I'm going to stay in Taiwan an extra week. Still have lots of friends to catch up with here.

This Week, average temp 100 degrees.

Dad: Tell your mom I'm going back to Nor Cal early.
Me: What about your friends?
Dad: Screw the friends, I'm heat-stroking here.

On Friday, couple of coworkers plus another American intern went to TGI Fridays; not my idea, of course. But the coworkers wanted "American food." And Gordon Biersch wasn't taking reservations. The food and crowded seats was forgettable but it was fun overall.

Am safe and sound inside my Taipei home. Leeching Wifi off some unsecured network. Touched down 5:30AM on a black Tarmac. The trip wasn't so bad. I managed to sleep half off the way, most of it after take off at midnight. Earplugs leftover from the Law School Exam (and Shooting Range) did their work superbly ( Read more... )
