So news....had an offer accepted on a house, so it's all with the solicitors now, but hopefully in 5 weeks or so I might just be moving into my own house...which is both incredibly exciting, an bloody terrifying.
Also...I just watched Torchwood 209, Something Borrowed
having read a little of the reviews from those who had watched it the previous week was ready to hate this episode, or at least actively dislike large portions of it....but, I really didn't...it wasn't the best episode ever, but neither was it the worst.

For starters, Gwen didn't completely annoy me...which for gwen is a feat all in of itself, and in a very Gwen centric episode I wasn't crying out for her to be off screen that much, which, well lets be fair, with Gwen i'm biased, I just don't care for, nor understand her character....so, not wanting to see her ripped to shreds was a major accomplishment for the show.

Also, the whole Jack/Gwen dynamic thing, of which I had heard numerous people complain, wasn't nearly as overwhelming, nor did it make me dislike Jack....though I will admit to being able to twist pretty much anything characters a I like do into fitting the viewpoint I want them to be having...it's either a curse or a blessing I'm not sure what.  The most annoying scenes for this, well firstly was the whole in front of the mirror part, but what with that not actually being Jack, well that only impacted on my ability to understand Gwen's  mindset, which I mostly gave up on in the, i think it was the fifth episode of the first season...so nothing new there.

And then  I wasn't overly enamored with the conversation between Gwen and Jack during the dance....but I can't really put my finger on why...

In a plus for the episode though...it had some more wonderful Ianto scenes...though I do think any scene with Ianto is wonderful merely by his presence....the Ianto Jack scene in the hub talking tailoring was wonderful...and I really enjoyed the owen/jack/ianto bantering that followed....I want to see more of Ianto and Owen bonding...it just fits so well into thier antagonistic, shooting, snarking prior relationship, that only when one of them is technically dead....do they actually seem to let go of the posturing at least a little ( on that note the Ianto Owen coffe machine scene in the previous episode also rocked).

I'm gonna stop now, cause I read over this...and I'm rambling inanely, and making no sense...I also can't type successfully tonight....so yeah...but overall, pleasantly surprised with this episode I enjoyed it much more than anticipated.
