i've backdated a few entries, so you may want to check them out. or not.
i have convinced my dad to actually do stuff, even though it is cold outside. he has some serious hibernation tendencies. anyway, we have so far done
-national gallery (excellent)
-currency museum (surprisingly cool)
-canadian war museum (depressing, but the propaganda exhibit was neat)
-ottawa art gallery (not bad)
and tomorrow we are doing the museum of civilization. i would also like to do the library and archives, possibly sometime next week. if i had a car, i would go see diefenbunker but it's in the middle of nowhere, as a bunker should be.
also we have been eating out a lot and have mostly found a bunch of mediocre chinese food, a good "vietnamese" place (in quotation marks, because it's not a pho place, and serves cantonese and thai food as well), a tolerable sri lankan place, a good pizza place, a seafood restaurant that can only do mussels properly (and has george michael's greatest hits on infinite repeat in the dining room, mashed up with baby elephant walk that blares from the kitchen), and the corner store down the street sells krispy kreme!
