A lot of my mom's friends on Facebook are (much to her irritation) going on and on about how it's wrong to celebrate the death of another human for any reason, and they're wondering "what the world is coming to that so many people are happy that Bin Laden is in Hell." And maybe they're not just saying that to make themselves look like good little morally superior Christians, and they actually do believe that. Maybe they really wouldn't be singing a different tune if this had happened under the Bush administration instead of Obama's. Maybe they're right. But if it's wrong to celebrate the fact that a hate-spewing mass murderer got what he deserved after almost ten years of evading justice, I don't want to be right.
