Mom had her own appointment this evening to see how her mastitis is doing. It's not good; she's still running a high fever and they don't know where the abscess is. She's having an ultrasound done next week and may have to have surgery to remove it if they can't reach the abscess otherwise. Please keep her in your thoughts and send good vibes her way. She really could use them.
While she was there, the RNP asked her to send along her apologies to me; she said she didn't mean to belittle my pain or act like it wasn't there, and that made me feel better. I'm so used to not being taken seriously regarding my medical issues that it's nice to have that sort of acknowledgment once in a while.
