I swear, every time I think that the Victoria Bitter/thanfiction saga can't get weirder, some new detail pops up that makes me giggle like a loon ("His son? A sparrow." Heeee!). I wish my surgery weren't tomorrow; I want to stay and watch the fun!
On a more serious note, though the amount of trans-fail/pronoun-fail in the comments makes me rage like nobody's business, I'm glad to see that the offenders have all been dog-piled. It makes me feel more confident about my decision to confront my Moral Issues in Criminal Justice professor about the pronoun-fail in our textbook. I'm now even more convinced that it is a big deal, and that I wasn't over-reacting. I mean, the fact that the professor took me seriously certainly helped, and the support I got from my friendslist was vital, but there were a few nights when I lost sleep worrying about whether I'd done the right thing or if I was making a mountain out of a molehill. Next time, I won't think twice about it.
