Yesterday after the funeral I was feeling really down and today started out along the same vein. A few hours ago, however, I received some news that turned my mood around. Bonnie's horse Rippy has a little half-brother, and she's wanted to own him since the day he was born. She even gave him a nickname, R.J. (Rippy Junior). He has excellent bloodlines and conformation, a lovely temperment, wonderful manners and is very intelligent. Naturally, a lot of other people wanted him, and Bonnie was starting to get depressed over her chances of ever owning him. Not so anymore.
R.J., who is now one and a half years old, also now resides at her father's house along with Sharif and Rippy. He is absolutely freaking adorable, and it's easy to see why Bonnie fell in love with him. Sharif and Rippy aren't too sure of him as of yet, but once they get their new herd dynamics sorted out it'll be okay. He's the new kid, so it's only to be expected if he gets scuffed up a bit.
It'll be a challenge training him, but I'm looking forward to it, and I know Bonnie is, too. I'll just have to make sure Sharif knows he's still number one in my heart. ~g~ I'll also try to post pictures of him as soon as possible.
Speaking of, I finally uploaded my pictures of my new ferret, Kancho, and I'll post them tomorrow.
