Watched the Piano in class this evening. It was a good movie but quite disturbing. Plus, it is rather uncomfortable to see male full-frontal nudity in a classroom setting. And weird, butt-stroking scene. And psycho I have an axe and you cheated on me scene. And the whiny, bratty little girl who made me want to slap her across the face. Which, I guess, is a sign of good writing and acting because it does evoke strong emotions.
Went out tonight after class and had a good time... everyone was so funny! Had a couple of beers and a barbecue and cheddar burger (hmmm, is there a cheddar theme tonight? I squee for cheese.)
No class tomorrow so I am going to have to *finally* write about Katherine Mansfield, and the Piano, and the Penguin History of New Zealand (but I already have 2 pages of that done so that should go quick.) Once I get all that done I only have one more piece for non-fic and I am done for the semester. yee haw! (Side note, I wish I had a yee haw! button.)
