must ... not ... work

So, I am still supposed to be writing something intelligent about Katherine Mansfield, but it is 1:21 AM and what am I doing... procrastinating. It would help, of course, if I had read any of the short stories in this book but the only one I have read is Bliss and *it* isn't in this book. Not that I don't like Katherine Mansfield... she actually rocks... very talented and led a wild life. No, it is just that this class (New Zealand Lit) is driving me crazy. I have had enough. Plus, the last book for the class just arrived at the bookstore last week and it is a 570 page history text. Since it came in so late we don't have to read the whole thing but the prof. encouraged us to read "as much as we can" Which for me is 26 pages because I have had enough.

In other news, hubby finally retired his 14 year old car and bought a shiny new black Honda Civic. (The retirement was more the car's idea than hubby's. It just *stopped* in the Fort Pitt tunnels and wouldn't start again. He was able to coast out of the tunnel and onto the shoulder, but it wouldn't start again. It had other problems, too, and he'd been planning to get a new car sometime soon soo...) The bad news is, since it is all shiny and new, there is a no-eating in the car rule now :( But, we have power windows and one of those fancy beeping things to unlock the car and a CD player. I feel so hip. :)
