My newsfeed is filled with teenagers going "i have exam today D: dunt get why the government makes us even do dem!".

I just cannot understand why teenage boys call their girlfriends "babe", "baby", "baby girl" or any rendition of said nicknames. Is it some testosterone filled thing?
