Iron Man - at last!!
There was a distinct lack of good TV on Friday night. As in nothing that we wanted to watch. TWO channels dedicated to football (an actual AFL special, far out, and a game of Rugby) which is just not on. I realise that we live in Victoria and that AFL rules the TV waves for a distinct majority of the year, but in all seriousness, I could care less. If I want to watch a game, I'll turn it on. But I don't want to watch it over a 4 night period every week. Yeesh.
So, we came up with the brilliant idea of raiding the local IGA's DVD collection and hiring out "Iron Man".
OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY.
I am now officially an Iron Man fangirl, and I want to be Pepper Potts. (oh please oh please.) We liked it so much that I sheepishly asked at the end of it (after a wee break and watching something else randomly - no idea) whether we could just watch it again. And we did!! Heehee!
(Side note: It's trying to rain! Yay! We just don't see enough of it, so it's always a happy event!)
Things I loved: + The Suit! The way it was a wee bit ostentatious, so a bit of hot rod red totally made it better. + The first flying test!!!! + The robot with the fire extinguisher. + Pepper Potts. + Tony and his sense of humour, and his wicked wicked tongue. (take that as you will.) + Rhodey and the way he almost borrowed the extra suit. He really had to think about it! + The post credit appearance of Nick Fury.
What am I doing!??! I loved it all!!
Things I didn't love: NOTHING!!!
And a special mention of Robert Downey Jr and his SPECTACULAR appearance!! I felt like getting up and licking the screen! (Did I just say that?) Also, I really liked Gwenyth in this, which is a hard thing to do, since she usually annoys me (although I don't generally dislike her as a rule). And I adored her hair. Sadly, I know for a fact that I can't have my hair that colour, because it just.. it's wrong and it doesn't work, ok?
I might have to give Iron Man 5 out of 5 stars :)
