So Here's One Incontrovertable Benefit

There's one thing you can definitely say about the Paleo diet.

You can question its historical accuracy, poke holes in its hypotheses, and laugh at the Paleo-Nazis shouting at people for daring to eat a soya bean.

But you can't deny that the food you'll be eating while you're on it looks damn good.

My breakfast, for example, was a handful of walnuts and cashew nuts, half a punnet of raspberries, and three soft-boiled eggs. Becca, by contrast, had two Paleo raspberry and coconut muffins.

And for lunch?

That's Becca's. 8 oz ribeye steak fried in olive oil and ghee with sauted mixed root vegetables.

And mine. 8 ox ribeye steak, again, with an avocado and mushrooms. The mushrooms would have been sauteed in the ghee with garlic, but a spatula I'd just bought chose that point to announce it was actually made of plastic, not silicone, with dish-ruining results.

I can live with that for a lunch.

Tonight's going to be interesting - we're eating out at Pho House, so we're going to attempt to thread the needle of semi-Paleo. We may bring nuts. Hur hur.
