the more things change . . .
Jake just posted something on FB about having insomnia, yet being tired -- so he stays up watching SVU, etc.
So the more things change. . .
Each post has its own challenges -- for me, Juarez was difficult because we were in the middle of nowhere and it was next to impossible to find teaching. I did eventually find teaching and a kick ass job at the consulate. So maybe that will repeat here. It is the in-between time that gets me, though. Waiting for responses from universities, etc. It does seem like there are more resources here, however, for ex-pats to find work. So starting monday, I am exploring those options. Employment agencies, etc. Not that I want to work for money; I just need to see and interact with people!
I am also doing the thing of ... I should work on academic project. . . but I should go to this museam, show, historic area of town. . .And in the end I just end up doing laundry and reading. BLAH. I also watch a lot of cooking shows, which does not really help my waistline even though I think it is expanding my vocabulary.
OK -- I have no reason to complain. Just looking for a way to turn over a new leaf and actually get things moving.
