Busy Weekend!
Yesterday Hubby and the girls passed their karate test! Hubby is now a 1st degree black belt and both girls earned their 2nd degree black belt. Woohoo for them! It was almost an all day event. They had to be there at 7:15 to sign in, I met them at 11 after dropping the munchkins off at my mom's to watch the afternoon part of the testing (you're not allwoed to watch the morning stuff). We only had 3 people from our school that didn't pass, and we had 31 people rank testing, so that's pretty good! One school had 11 people not pass, doh! They all failed to break their boards, which is usually why people don't pass. I picked the munchkins up at 4:30, then we met some of our friends for dinner around 6:30ish. It was after 9:30 by the time we finally got back home and started putting people to bed! This morning the munchkins actually slept in for once because they were so tired from being out so late!
Today we're having a lazy morning, then we're going to the festival in town. Hubby has to work vendor load out, so he's going in early to walk around with me first. Half the kids want to go and half don't, so I'll ask them again when it's actually time to leave. Some of our friends are meeting us there, and once the kids find out they are probably all going to want to go see their friends!
Tomorrow it's back to work and school, bummers! On busy weekends I REALLY need an extra day off!
