Happy birthday Larkyn!
Today is Larkyn's birthday and she is now 6 years old! She is very exxcited! Last night she said she wants to have her party TODAY! This morning as soon as she was haf awake she was asking "is today my birthday?" I'm not sure will understand why her party is 2 weeks away, but we can't do it next weekend and nobody ever comes if you have it during the week. She wants to invite some of the girls from her class, so we really need to get on planning it! We had talked yesterday about making cookies or mini cupcakes for her to take to school, but then we never did anything. This morning she said she wanted to take them, so I had to run to the store at 7:15 and get some pre-made mini cupcakes, doh! They are having testing at school today and parents aren't allowed at the school during testing, so I couldn't bring them in later after making them.
Tonight will be interesting. On your birthday you get to pick where you want to go, so Larkyn gets to decide what we do for dinner. NO clue what she will pick, but I think the chances are high that we'll either be having cereal or going to McDonalds or Chick-Fil-A! Brittany has to work tonight and she doesn't get off until 7:30, so we might go to dinner without her. We've never left anyone out of a birthday dinner before (except when they were sick), but if we wait until she gets off work we'd be eating late, and Larkyn and Parker won't get to bed on time. Brittany will be VERY upset if we go without her, but that's what happens when you work! We'll see what we wind up doing.
