I had what should have been my 32 week appointment today, while I am 33 1/2 weeks, lol. I keep getting pushed further and further back! My belly is measuring 35 weeks. She said I've been measuring a little big for awhile but LAST week he said I was measuring perfect and right on track, so.. who knows! She ALSO said I have gained 16 pounds this pregnancy, but umm.. basic math says I have gained 22 pounds. Should I be worried that she can't do simple addition and subtraction? I guess someone wrote down the wrong number somewhere, so I HOPE they wrote down the wrong starting number, and that next week they don't think I've gained a whole bunch of weight at once, lol! Anyway I also had sugar in my urine. So I guess there IS a point to them making me pee in a cup every time I go in :p She went to recheck the urine herself, I dunno maybe she likes playing with peepee, then she said yup there really was sugar in there so I had to go to the lab and they stuck a vampire on my arm and sucked out a big tube of blood :( The lab vampire asked "Did you fast today?" because for the blood sugar test you are supposed to fast, and I said no I had breakfast like normal because they weren't originally going to take blood. She just hmmmed me, not sure she believed me but it's true! I'm supposed to be done with all those tests :p The doctor wants me to come back in a week (which will get me going on the week I'm actually supposed to go) so we can check out the blood test results. Which if they are normal then there is nothing to check out and if they are bad I think I just have to change my diet? Hopefully they don't make me do the stupid gross 3 hr diabetes test if it's bad! I've only got 6 1/2 weeks left so SURELY they can just let me slide on this one, lol.
Hubby wanted to know what it all meant and I said dunno about the sugar, one doctor had said your urine test can be wonky if you don't drink enough water before coming in, but I think that was protein not sugar. This lady didn't say. Measuring big might mean he's a big baby (duh), I'm going to go early, I have a lot of fluid, or I could be bloated, who knows! It might mean nothing at all. They also went ahead and made all of my appointments up to my due date. I am now going every week! So hopefully that's what the doctors actually want, lol.
Also hubby just called and his grandmother (Pop's wife) is in the hospital. His aunt said it doesn't look like she's going to last much longer and she sent her husband home to get their copy of Granny's living will. Hubby told her when he got home he'd come up to the hospital so now we're trying to decide if I should stay here or call my dad back (who just left my house, he watched Larkyn while I went to the doctor) so he can sit with Larkyn while I go with Hubby.
