On The Olympics ....
I'm DVRing just about 20 hours of stuff a day....actually watching very little of it really.....fast-forwarding through most of it.
But the opening ceremonies were incredible, as expected. And I fucking hate that Taiwan had to accept being called "Chinese Taipei" to be 'invited'.
I surprised myself by stopping to watch the finals of the 96 (IIRC) KG woman's weightlifting finals. Terrific drama.
I'll be recording all day today. And trying really hard to avoid any contact with sports news while I'm out playing board games. The one I'm really 'sweating' is Sean Rosenthal, of America's #2 beach volleyball team, who grew up across the street from a really good friend in Redondo Beach.
