I'm really hoping the bubble doesn't pop soon, because the last few episodes have been absolutely fantastic - it's like we got the old SPN back!

I'm also really hoping that maybe the Trials aren't a one hero gig and it takes Sam AND Dean to close the gates of Hell. Or whatever it is they end up doing!

They've been on a roll lately. I'm hoping they're wrong about the One Hero thing too, but there are so many pitfalls that can happen between now and the end of the Trials given all the plot balls in the air, who knows how it might end up.

Show made me cry this ep! Twice! And I'm in love with it again. Not that the first half of the season was bad, but I didn't really feel the magic. WELL, IT'S BACK! *does happydance*

Seriously, this was SPN at its best, from the story to the side characters to the brotherliness.

I hope it didn't give you nightmares, though :)

You have a point with the death-thing. Hmm... I'll just try to count the number of deaths they've had for a second...

John: killed by Azazel, gives up his life to make a deal to save Dean...
Dean: very nearly dies from the car crash, (the Trickster being himself could go here, but I don't count that as they were in a pocket dimension that wasn't real and if we did the numbers would be silly), death by Hellhound, shotgun-sprayed by two idiot hunters...
Sam: stabbed in the back by Jake, stabbed by Anna with a crowbar, shotgun-sprayed by two idiot hunters, swan-dived with Lucifer...
Bobby: neck snapped by Lucifer, shot in the noggin by Dick Roman...
Cas: blown up by Raphael, blown up by Lucifer, blown up by hundreds of Leviathan...
Adam: killed by ghouls, swan-dived with Michael...
Everyone else: Died but never came back to life.

Wow... I never realised just how overrated death is in this show until I typed all that down. And that's a shame, because I love the guy to bits

Yeah, I wasn't going to start counting Dean's Trickster!deaths, because I don't think Death and the reapers even got a text about those.

There's been stuf going on with Castiel all along, that's been hinted, but never quite explored or answered, but I hope at some point it will be and that it will tie into the overall series arc as a whole

There has been a lot of stuff getting between Sam and Dean over the past several years. It's good to have them on the same page.

Also, Sam: Struck by lightning. Easy to miss in such a cracky episode, but yes, I-love-you-more-than-anything woman wished him dead in "Wishful Thinking".
Hm, breaks the angel/deal pattern...

I view that death the same way as the Trickster deaths. Actual Death never got a memo.

This one in particular made me laugh so hard: SAM WHERE ARE YOU, COME SHOOT THIS FRIGGING THING OFF YOUR IDIOT BROTHER AND ONE OF YOUR BATHE IN ITS BLOOD AND CHANT THE WHATEVER THINGY KEVIN GAVE YOU. AND THEN SHOUT AT YOUR IDIOT BROTHER ABOUT TACTICAL STUPIDITY AND LACK OF SELF-ESTEEM IN A PICTURESQUE HIGHWAY REST STOP. Because it's SO TRUE! LOL

Hee! That was one of my favorite bits to write too, because I was all GAAAAH! at the screen and capslocking orders at Sam and Dean was about as coherent as I could get.
