Quality time with Alora
Despite feeling fat all day when my clothes didn't fit, I still found time to take a few pictures of Alora with my China Doll plant today. I love using it as a background if only because of the name! Her dress is by eightl0ngmonths (so are her socks, but you can't see them) and it was part of a big order I got for my birthday. I placed it early in April and didn't get it until the 24th, two days before my birthday, but I'm not complaining- it was actually appropriate because they felt like a birthday present that way. :D
I haven't taken nearly enough photos of her, partly because she hasn't had a very good wardrobe before now and partly because she's not a very good poser. Bobobie isn't known for their dolls' poseability, but Mei is such a perfect Alora that I've never really cared. She's hard to take pictures of but she's still really beautiful.
She really needs some eyelashes, as she looks a little young right now, but I haven't been able to afford them yet. Of course, looking younger than she is has always been one of her character traits.
Despite these two photos being pretty much the same, I couldn't choose between them. They are both by far the best photos of Alora I've taken to date. Besides her eyelashes, I also need to sand down her, ahem, chest. She's rather indecent but I'm very afraid to take sandpaper to her. Bobobie may not be masters of poseability, but their products are extremely beautiful anyway. Alora's delicate neck is one of my favorite features.
