Isabel's hair is growing in blonde, light light baby blonde. For a few weeks now I thought it wasn't growing at all, but the other day I was looking at it in the light and I realised that it has blonde roots. That explains it! From a distance, the centres of her hair swirls look like little bald spots.
Isabel has a new trick. When she's on the changing table (which is the space between the two sinks in the bathroom), she loves to make new sounds. Her newest one is a high squeal, which she is learning to make very LOUD. I try not to react because I don't want to teach her that screaming inside is a good trick, but it cracks me up every time. Oops! Erik has pointed out a few things I am already reinforcing the wrong way. It's hard to notice these things when you're in the moment, but if you stop and ask how you would like it if a toddler did it, it becomes clearer. Also, I am getting a sense of how much I need to develop skills for interacting with Isabel. The first three months are free, but now I need to start doing things in a mindful way.
I recorded her supporting herself from the waist up and making lots of noise. I updated her web site with the new video.
