A Night in the life of a survey researcher

Here is an account of a typical night from my job by the number:

23 = Number of messages I left for people.
16 = Number of disconnected or not working numbers I called.
9 = Callbacks I had to set up.
5 = Soft Refusals I got (most time hang ups)
and number of No Answers
3 = Number of people I called who had children named Jada
and number of Busy signals I got
2 = Possible duplicates I had to put in for
and number changes I had to put in
1 = Fax machine that I got instead of an actual number

and finally my total numbers of completions for the Medicaid survey I worked on for 3 hours:
3 (including one partial complete that I took credit for completing)

And there you have it:62 total calls in 3 hours including set up time and breaks that I took. That is a 1 completion per hour ratio which for this particular survey should prove to be pretty effective.
