Hero worshipping? Who, me? Definitely not (except, *totally* yes).

I WANT TO FRIEND THIS PERSON BECAUSE OF THIS ENTRY, Forgotten Dialects of the Heart. Would that be too creepy?? You know what? The entry is so awesome, it needs to be repeated:

I have discovered one of my most reliable kinks: characters who share a private language, who instead of falling back on "I love yous" and conventional gestures, build their own signs and signifiers, who find in pressing their foreheads together, or an insult, or in saving each other in wildly dangerous ways a language that's a better suited to the complex tangle of messy and uncomfortable feeling they carry around inside of them but prefer not to reflect on much, let alone talk about. What they feel simply is, the way the sky is blue and gravity rides everything.

My characters never talk to each other about love.

As Jack Gilbert puts it, in his precise and lovely fashion:

How astonishing it is that language can almost mean,
and frightening that it does not quite. Love, we say,
God, we say, Rome and Michiko, we write, and the words
get it all wrong.

What I love is pairings where there simply isn't language for what they feel: emotions that are vast and strange and ultimately unconveyable.

I don't normally do this, but... *FLAIL!!!* This is what I aspire towards *is in awe*

On an other note...I did a terrible, terrible thing O_O I started a 'Fics to Review' list in my memories. I thought there were only 2 or 3, but there's eleven. Eleven! The earliest dating back to March! And this is soooo not going to help me. I know it. Now I'm just going to be "oh, I'll add it to the list and come back to it later." Which, of course, will never happen. But it makes everything so much easier to track, what I've reviewed and what I haven't. Hopefully, I won't use it to procrastinate. Much.

ETA: Everyone's posting their thoughts on tonight's GA episodes and I can't read it for another THREE hours! D:
