I am going to be changing bedrooms soon. To really make the 'changing' part accurate, I will first be changing the room I'm moving into from a white room into an orange room. With green and brown trim. (Specifically, in case any of you out there are a) home decorating geeks, or b) paint fetishists, I am changing my matte gloss white #3 room into a vintage orange, peppergrass, and English saddle room. And don't think that I don't take a perverse pleasure in knowing the bizarro names of all the colours I intend to slap onto my walls.) After the room has been changed into a living monument to Peter Pumpkin-Eater's sexual habits, I will shift my furniture and belongings into it. This pleases me.
In other news, I have been cleaning my current bedroom prepatory to the move, and have come to the conclusion that I have a lot of clothing. I feel secure in saying this, because while I have filled the laundry hamper (which is actually a black plastic trash can large enough for both Olsen twins, Paris Hilton, and maybe a Hansen brother), there are still clothes in my drawers. Plenty of clothes. If it weren't so damn cold, in fact, I could break into my wide assortment of skirts, and not do laundry until April. This would be bad, and unhygenic, and Lilly would vanish under my bras, but I could do it.
My green Counting Crows shirt has become a nightgown. This saddens me.
Beyond that? My day has contained cake, Chris, West Wing, walking, frolicking, crossing a creek, a scary buffet, the company of friends, and unexpected gifts. Life is full of unexpected gifts. They're better that way.
Dream well, all of you.
