I still want to know what possessed me to do this based on what I was given, but hey, it earned me brilliance, so I win!

Thanks, sweetie. I'm really glad you liked it.

Seconded, in six-part harmony, but...what is this a fanfic of?

I can't decide if I want to find the canon or not. After reading this, it may just disappoint me.

Global Frequency was a comic book series by Warren Ellis; every issue was, effectively, this story. Here is a situation, here are the specialists, here are the specialists versus the situation, lather, rinse, repeat. It was absolutely brilliant, and I highly, highly recommend it.

Best of all, because every issue was different -- a different situation and set of characters, with Miranda and Aleph connecting them -- there was something in it for absolutely everyone. The series has been collected in TPB form. Read it.

I'd say I was sorry, but...GF is/was brilliant, and I feel no shame.

You're quite welcome.

Hit Bittorrent, and you'll find it. A common pack of it has Global Frequency (pilot) + 1st issue of comic. Watch first, I suppose, so you don't spoil it, then you can see how the dirfferences.. Or the other way around.

I've just ordered both trades, even though I have the entire run on my laptop right now. Only read the first, and *WANT*!!

(it's a pilot, and it's not been picked up. A fandom with a show that never aired... kinda impressive.)

Thank you!

I've now had more people wander over to read this than hit my last Doctor Who fic, which seems vaguely like a perversion of nature. But neat!

It was originally a comic book fandom, though; I'd be interested to see how many people found it without having read the comics first, as that would give us a more accurate sample on the 'never been aired' vs. 'didn't really matter if it was' spread.

You being one of those, so hey.

Yep - I got it from recently adding Warren Ellis' RSS feed. I don't think i was quite reading comic beyond starting Sandman when these books were coming out.. else i'd have seen it then.

But check out the wired story on it, if you haven't seen it.
