So I begin by saying 'damn'. Please picture me staring at my computer screen in slowly growing horrified realization, eyes going very wide, before making a face and swearing; this will give you a reasonable amount of context on the exact sort of 'damn' we're talking about here. It's a good, solid 'damn ( Read more... )

Why do you have to change it? Clady is a cool name!

Trixie. Jill. Karen. Tina. Tracy. Contessa.

I second Contessa, or even the shortened version of Tessa.

Haaaa. Seconding. That was my joke suggestion.

Although Tess Markham does have that D'Urberville vibe.

I can only think of Contessa as part of Dot's full name.

Tessa would be bad. Tessa is a woman who ran away with a man it would be icky to run away with.

(How many people know that Tessa. Not many. Still....)

If a name change it must be, Terri is fine. Or go for initials - TJ, etc.

I'll probably wind up using 'Clady' for the main character in Lycanthropy and Other Personal Issues, who ceased to be a 'Chloe' when I moved the book from London to San Francisco. All things happen in time.

Well, that's odd. I'd be more inclined to see a Chloe in San Francisco and a Clady in London, not vice versa.
