Good morning, world!

It's Thursday morning, and I'm full of perky, despite:

a) The heavy, unseasonal rains which have turned my yard into a swamp and caused me to wake up freezing at two-thirty in the morning (as well as driving Lilly under the covers to stay warm, and nothing is more annoying than rolling over onto your cat in the wee, small hours after midnight);
b) The various colds currently buzzing around the officeplace, which have turned most people's patience into Swiss Cheese;
c) The part where it's seven-twenty in the morning (roughly), and I have already been awake for two full hours.

Perky! There's a new episode of 'The O.C.' on tonight, it's the night of the Concord farmer's market and my Weight Watchers meeting, I have plenty of gum -- both Berry Tango and Lemonade flavour -- and a new Meg Cabot to read on the bus (book three of her Mediator series). This is just one of those days when I am in an irrationally good mood.

Oh, and also, I get to pick up my comic books tonight, and my new Girlyman CD should arrive any day now, which is beginning to make me perky just through proximity. (I admit that I'm a material girl: the thought of my new CD arriving in the mail makes me happy both because it's something cool, and because it's new stuff that will be mine. Always know your own weaknesses, right?)

The new project is going well, and the shape of it is coming plain to me. I am delighted and enthralled.

How's everybody?

cds, life rocks, lilly, weather, comics, good things, reading
