Sleep is for the weak, sickly humans.

My cats have a new game, and that game is Never Let Seanan Sleep Again, Ever. They played it for most of last night, which was very exciting for them and deeply infuriating for me. Lilly hurts and wants to be comforted. Nyssa is upset that Lilly is getting more attention and wants to be cuddled before she'll let me drift off again. And that means that Lilly? Because she hurts, wants to be comforted some more, and eventually, arrgh, alarm.

I feel like hammered death. Terribly exciting, I know.

Today is, however, my day to pick up comic books and visit Trader Joe's for more vegetable matter (which I will consume over the next week or so). Between this and the fact that my favourite brand of microwave dinner -- the one I usually take to work for lunches -- is currently on sale at Safeway at five for ten dollars*, I am a very happy, well-fed girl. Also, the new issue of 'Fables' is in, and that always delights me.

My drabble challenge is going well, and bringing out an excitingly surreal mixture of characters and fandoms. So far, I've done several 'Veronica Mars', one RP character, one Lovecraft, one Buffy/My Little Pony crossover, one '...the Hell?' and one X-Men. Life is strange. Fans are stranger.

Once again, my nails (Turqoise Seas/Blueberry Surprise/Ice Princess) match my shirt. People are going to start thinking I do this on purpose.

(*I've been told repeatedly that it's cheaper to make my lunches. After doing the math of 'what does it cost to buy and maintain the supplies for enough kinds of sandwich or salad or whatever to keep me interested enough not to just wind up eating out' vs. 'how annoying is it to completely fill the freezer every time these things go on sale', I've come down on the side of being marginally annoying, because I have yet to find any other method, short of living on leftovers, which allows me to reliably lunch for two dollars a day.)
