Holidays in March: a cautionary tale.

When I was a kid, I loved St. Patrick's Day. I mean, here was a whole holiday about being Irish -- what's not to love? I'm Irish! It was a holiday about me! I know how you feel, sweetie. Every year, when my pin feathers break through, I long for the time when I can wear t-back bras with tank tops. Much easier to fly when your wings don't need covering. Much cooler as well. :)

Ah, and it's glorious out in the fields when the Irisih maidens come flying overhead...

I usually build a blind at the edge of the field and set up my decoys: a bar, a few stools, and some Irish lads dressed up in their finest. The Irish maidens land and sip at the beer.

I send my trained geek Irving out to flush the colleens from the bar: "Hey, cutie..." and off they fly. Out comes the trusty custom shotgun, I take aim and fire, the net spins out -- ah, another delightful Irish maiden for my collection...
