The mist, and an associated morning.

Driving over the bridge this morning was like driving straight into the pages of 'The Mist' -- a novella by Stephen King -- or possibly into the opening of a Toby Daye novel, which almost always seem to kick off with either sunrise or an impossibly thick fogbank rolling in. A Starbucks peppermint hot chocolate. The first time I ever had one, I declared that they tasted just like sucking on a hooker from Candyland, and the name stuck.

Oo thanks for the recommendation. I've been curious about Thursday Next. I *think* I have one on my wishlist. Which title is the first?

I need to read those myself. Luckily, Sheryl has the first three, so all I need to do is swipe them off her shelves. In my copious spare time, of course--considering I have about 100 books on my own to-be-read pile, plus half-a-dozen Tanya Huffs, 3 or 4 Laura Lippmans, and several other series I **also** want to swipe!

Oh, and Sheryl agrees with your description... 8-)

Bwahaha! You don't know how much I love being able to push something to you for a change.

Excuse me while I sit back here and laugh maniacally.
