Today is Tuesday.
I got up this morning (after the roommates woke me again by showering insanely early in the morning -- I swear I'm going to start sleeping in the bathtub and locking the bathroom door), got dressed, checked on the animals, and went to work. I know, not terribly exciting. Today's wardrobe includes blue jeans and my 'we are the music makers' T-shirt.
For the record: Leela and Amber were a knot of cat-on-couch, while Nyssa was sacked out in the middle of my sleeping bag. Argo was doing laps in the backyard, Alias and Alibi were snarled in their hammock, and Richard was washing his whiskers next to the water-bottle. Oh, and Sarah Jane was asleep on her chair on the porch. The morning zoo is always cuter than the zoo at any other time of day, because they don't want to be awake either.
Today's music includes an assortment of Barenaked Ladies CDs, and one of the mix CDs that Jess made for me. Hopefully, my roommates will go to the store tonight, thus sparing me the messy chore of destroying them utterly.
Number of commissions recieved: twenty-two. Number completed and returned: one (I never said I was fast). Number inked but not Photoshopped: one. Number penciled and partially inked: two. Number I expect to turn in tonight: three.
Looking at the numbers, if everyone actually pays me on delivery, I should be able to afford a 9x12 Wacom at the current number of commissions; if I keep taking new ones for another few days, I can probably manage to get a 12x12 Wacom. This idea is strangely attractive to me, and bears further consideration. Of course, at that scale, the issue becomes fitting it on my desk -- but I think I'll cope with that little tragedy.
This has been very disjointed, but sometimes, that's life. The kids are all right. I have an appointment to take Alias and Alibi to the vet tomorrow afternoon, where we'll find out what that lump on Lias's tail is, and I'm having dinner with Michael and Elisa to discuss getting started on BayCon 2003 Thursday evening.
It's been a morning. Now it can be a day
