Since I only do this one a year, and people always have the same questions, here are a few notes on the Fannish Advent process. Because I care! Also because I'd rather not confuse people if I can avoid it.
Yes, you can suggest the same thing day after day without becoming annoying. I do one fandom a day; I don't repeat fandoms within the same year unless something really odd happens. This means that if you only suggest something once, and it's not the fandom I choose for the next day, it's not going to get used. I don't go back to previous days unless there's a day with no suggestions at all (which has actually never happened). Please feel free to comment every day with the fandom or fandoms you're hoping for.
No, this is not a democracy. Seconding or thirding a fandom does not make it more likely to be my selection for the next day. I write the daily advents based on a combination of "what I feel like writing right now" and "how interested I am by working in that universe." So twenty people saying "oh, yes, this" for something is actually not going to make it any more or less likely to be written.
I will not write fanfic for any literary work whose originator is on Livejournal and could potentially see this journal. That means no Tanya Huff, no Jim Hines, no Cat Valente, etc. I won't write them no matter how many times they're suggested, because that isn't even remotely fair to the original authors, who don't need to be put in the position of telling me to take something down.
I can't provide a full list of fandoms I will write, since there are so many and some of them are so obscure, but here are some fandoms I won't write, either because I'm not familiar with the source material or because I have nothing to say:
Babylon 5
Dollhouse
Farscape
Flash Forward
How I Met Your Mother
Lost
Mad Men
NCIS: Los Angeles
Sanctuary
Sarah Connor Chronicles
Stargate
Star Trek: DS9
Star Wars
Twilight
V (new series)
Hope this helps.
