Ah, cats.

In the last ten minutes, Alice has proudly brought me...

...her squid on a stick.
...a paintbrush.
...a bra.
...my pumpkin blanket.
...my stuffed pumpkin.
...a fork.
...six DVDs.
...Lilly.

The last of these was also the most impressive, as she basically herded Lilly into my bedroom. Lilly is still (for the moment) the larger of my two cats; it was like watching a pigeon herd a seagull. A big, flightless seagull...and...um. I lost the metaphor. Suffice to say, the funny, it was had.

Alice really likes sacking out on the floor behind my chair, where the risk of running her over is at its highest possible point. (I've stepped on her a few times, but have yet to run her over. All hail spatial awareness!) She's now a sprawled puddle of blue, gray, white, and orange fluff, like the lint from the filter in Halloween's industrial-strength clothes dryer. Lilly is who-knows-where. Probably hiding from the crazy Maine Coon who thinks she's a Border Collie.

My cats. They're definitely an adventure. In what, I'm not quite so sure.

silliness, lilly, alice
