Time to buy a camera.
All right, so after ages and ages of not having a camera of my own (and hence periodically borrowing the cameras of others), I'm finally going to obtain a digital camera. This is My One Extravagance for the season, although it can be argued that it's also sort of a business need -- people may start hurting me if I don't provide pictures of the crap Lilly does when she's bored.
Besides, my mother has a digital camera now. MY MOTHER. Clearly I am behind the times.
Kate and I are going to dare the Best Buy next week so that I can hold some of the options and see how they feel in the hand. We know basically what I need: small, simple, difficult to break, difficult to use wrong, as much zoom as possible in something with the above-listed features, and USB-compatible, since it would be silly to get a camera and then not have it get along with my computer.
I feel very practical and geeky right now.
