I don't like waking up.
I love going to bed; I love crawling into a nest of blankets and pillows and plush and (if I'm at home) inevitable Siamese cats. I love the feeling of drifting off into nothing at all, and I love dreaming. I do not, however, love waking up. Waking up is annoying and unsettling and a lot of other things that end with '-ing,' because waking up means coping with having just woken up. If sleep weren't so awesome, it totally wouldn't be worth it.
I spent three hours at Rey and Dave's last night, playing Rock Band 2 for the very first time. After cruising around in the brand new face and hair options, I made...the exact same avatar that I've made every single time I've generated a Rock Band character. I like my little sim rocker chick, and it amuses me to buy clothing for her. Ergo, it was time to recreate her for the new system. Because I can.
The new installment in the Rock Band series comes with a whole new clothing category -- Thrift Threads -- and that category includes actual dresses. So if you dress your character in one of the dresses and then put one of the short-shorts or miniskirts with it, you can actually dress your character in just a dress. I had my avatar running around in a neon-orange polka dot pin-up dress for a while, before hitting on a hideous green and orange geometric-print mod dress. When my avatar's clothing makes Rey cringe, I'm dressing her right. Did I mention the striped stockings? Hee hee hee.
My plans for today are sketchy and formless, which means they're going to wind up focusing on cleaning, writing, cleaning some more, and petting the cat. I'm pretty much okay with that.
