I am typing this despite having a Lilly cunningly placed to limit mobility to not one arm, but both (as well as rendering me incapable of getting out of my computer chair if I wanted to). She's very, very happy that I'm home. Very, very happy. I, too, am very, very happy that I'm home.
Alabama was...wonderful, awesome, amazing, incredibly great fun, and I'm sorry it was over so soon. (Given how busy Mary and I kept ourselves, the term 'flew by' absolutely applies to this trip.) At the same time, I missed my kitties, I missed having access to a wider selection of clothing, and it's good to be home. Sadly, the process of getting home was disrupted by delays at the Denver Airport, turning what should have been a layover just long enough for me to get some food and a nice stretch into four hours of crankiness. Chris met me at the airport, and we got to the house right around midnight.
Tired cat is tired. Tired cat is also covered in much more literal cats, as I have a lap filled with Lilly, and Nyssa is in the middle of my pillow, being professionally old (that being what she does). I am, sadly, about to piss my cats off by getting up, getting a shower, getting dressed, and going out for an action-packed Sunday consisting of:
* Zach and Miri Make a Porno with Chris.
* Planner shopping with Jeanne.
* Television and dinner with Kate.
It's good to see the country. It's good to visit friends in far-off places.
It's good to be home.
