Actually, doesn't this establish the linear dreams as an AU? Because if I remember right, in the dreamverse, Tor bought the Toby books rather than DAW.

Although I suppose Tor could still pick up the series at auction or something after the first three come out. Then, too, I wouldn't put it past the dreamverse-writer to retcon that particular detail in future installments....

I think a lot of things render the linear dreams as an AU. Including the part where I'd be a lot more likely to get a Great Dane, since they're better with cats. :)

Let's just focus on the important parts: lots of book sales, house in Seattle, TV show...

Ah, memories. I used to know a woman who had 6 cats and a Great Dane, mostly for security purposes (she lived alone in an isolated country house). The cats had a rigid pecking order, but all of them, even the 4 pound omega cat, bossed and beat up on that dog.
