Yesterday, I went shopping with my mother and older sister, including a pumpkin cake producing raid on the local Whole Foods, read the new Kelley Armstrong novel from cover to cover (Personal Demon), watched the finale of Torchwood, hung out with Chris, ate tasty tasty Indian food, drank a lot of amaretto, watched the new episode of Doctor Who, and ( Read more... )

It made me deeply happy in exactly the ways that a new episode of Doctor Who ought to make me happy.

Did you cry at Torchwood first though? I bawled exactly like they wanted me to :)

I sobbed for about fifteen minutes solid, called Tara, yelled at her about how I was not okay with the episode at all, and demanded a dinner break before Who so I could get myself calmed down.

Sad blonde in snow. :(

Huh. I'm currently re-reading Cell at the moment and am curious as to why it doesn't rank in the re-read catagory for you.

Doctor Who, and envisioned the incredible glory of the Kahlua Frost

Oh god the were cute! and well the last 5 mins I still can't get over.

Yes, I will admit I haven't seen the last Torchwood (playing catch up here)
but I sorta know what happens and not looking forward to it.

Damn... how does everybody-but-me seem to get Dr Who months before it comes on any of my channels?

You'll need to download bittorrent or one of the other pieces of software which lets you get torrents, then go to a torrent site (www.mininova.com seems to be popular, but there are several others) and search for the programs you're looking for. And then spend several hours waiting for it to finish downloading... and have a lot of free harddrive space.

How is personal demon? Worth getting in hardcover? I am not as found of Hope as I am of Jaime or the witches or the werewolves.

I too can read a paperback in day. Two of them if the bus or train takes particularly long that day. I also find myself reading Stephen King and (Dean Koontz) as a way of staving off the "must have something to read" syndrome.
