Bulletins from the front.

1. Doomsday is absolutely, positively, inarguably everything I really want a non-horror movie to be. Seriously, it rocked me from here to Sunday, and I may try arm-twisting people into going with me again tomorrow, because it made me so happy.

2. Having been a very good girl and resisted the urge to spend money at Borders, I rewarded myself...with a trip to Half-Price Books. Six horror novels, three mysteries, and my own copies of two of the three Bureau 13 books later, I think I have an addiction.

3. Wow, do I not have sufficient shelves.

4. My current Rosemary rewrites are going awesomely well, and I am very pleased with what they're doing for the book, both structurally and thematically. I realize this means I'll need to bite the bullet and do those two Newsflesh insertions real soon, but this is helping to clean my brain.

5. Also good for brain-cleaning: inking. I have three strips in base pencils and two in various degrees of inking (one lacks detail, one lacks detail and the first panel). I ink while I watch television. It makes a passive activity more involving, and also means I don't angst over whether to draw or write. For the yay!

6. Siamese cats do not make typing easier, but wow, do they think that they do.

7. Zooey Deschanel did two new photo shoots! Clearly, it is time for new MP icons.

And that's all for now. Lucky number seven!
