The lovely Lisa decided to start my day off right -- or maybe just decided to pacify me and thus help to guarantee the survival of the planet where she keeps all her stuff for a few more days -- by providing a link to delight and inspire. And I, because I believe in sharing, will now provide that link to you. Specifically:
Ten Simple Rules for Mad Graduate Students. Mad Science is truly a growing field. Largely because more and more scientists are taking the easy route, and going crazy. Not that they can always go mad all on their own -- oh, no, no. That's why we need a community.
Speaking of community, the fabulous Jeff got me the first rough mixes for Red Roses and Dead Things this morning. These aren't for public distribution -- naturally; he'd kill me, given how much work we still have to do -- but they'll enable me to start double-checking the lyrics in my master file against what's actually been recorded, and that means that when we reach that day in the not-too-distant future where Chris has to start laying out the liner notes, the lyrics he has to work with will actually match the lyrics appearing on the album. Gasp! Horrors!
Mad science makes me happy. Jumper cables, Jacob's ladders, brains in jars, big red switches ripe for pulling...
Really, what more does a girl need?
