Wondering where I'll be at Boskon? Wonder no more! I'll be at...
Friday.
5:00 PM: A Splintered Culture?
Has fandom been compartmentalized by the expansion of the genre, the explosion of new ways to get it, and the embracing arms of the Internet? Discuss. Also, watch me try to make sense while I'm a) jetlagged and b) surrounded by people I don't know. Also probably c), unfed. It'll be both awesome and hysterical. Do not stand between me and the door after the panel, as the psychic dinner bell will be ringing really, really loudly.
8:00 PM: Mind If We Pick Your Brraains? The Zombie Panel.
Let's talk about zombies. 'Cause, y'know, that's gonna be a real strain for me. I'm packing an assortment of zombie couture to consider for this panel. Yeah. I'll have options as to which article of zombie-themed apparel I wear to sit and talk about zombies. My life is so hard. Also, Michael Swanwick is gonna be on the panel. I may lose the capacity to form English words, as he qualifies as one of the few authors I'm actively awed by. Dead things and a floor show!
Saturday.
11:00 AM: Tops on the Tube Tonight: Good New Genre TV Shows.
...I wonder if they realize I don't watch anything new? Oh, well. This panel will largely be funny because it's right before my concert. Yeah. I get to make Merav help me with my makeup at ten o'clock in the morning, and then attend a panel about television while wearing heels. High comedy!
12:00 noon: Featured Filker Concert.
I gots my set list. I gots my band. I gots my really awesome dress. I gots the opportunity to rock Boston like it's never been rocked before, and I've always been an opportunistic sort of girl. Be there.
9:00 PM: Boskone and NESFA Awards Ceremony.
I really have no idea what this is about, but apparently it's a tradition, so it's probably awesome. Also, I'm bringing a second really awesome dress, just because a girl's gotta have standards when it comes to awards ceremonies. When did I start needing multiple dresses for a convention? Anyway.
Sunday.
12:00 noon: Lady Mondegreen Children's Concert.
This will be the first-ever children's concert given by all three core members of Lady Mondegreen on the continent of North America. That alone should make it totally bad-ass. I mean, seriously, we do 'Purple People Eater' and 'The Flu Pandemic'. Our body-count is sky high, and it's for the children. Kids like a good blood-bath, right?
1:00 PM: The Filk Vault.
This is my only panel all weekend that doesn't include at least a small potential of including dead things. I am hence sad. But it'll be all about filk and filking and old recordings and forgotten songs, and that's pretty spiffy.
Now you know where I'll be, and when, and can stalk with impunity! Just remember, all stalkers are expected to bring Diet Dr Pepper. It's like a toll. (Hey. Everything's worth trying, right?)
