The 'technical drawing' in panel three is the first such 'technical drawing' I've done since my technical drawing class in high school, which I passed largely because my art teacher knew me, liked me, and understood from years of knowing me and liking me that I am effectively incapable of drawing a straight line, even with a ruler. I think she'd be proud of me for still knowing what a vanishing point is.
This was my actual reaction to the movie in question, and my actual after-the-fact justification for how anybody could be that god-awful stupid when working with a live virus. My friends are very tolerant. Also, this strip marks the first appearance of Kate's new short hair.
