So apparently, Fox just figured out that Buffy fans have been doing sing-alongs of 'Once More With Feeling'. How this can be, I don't really know, since all the sing-alongs I know of were licensed and paying royalties, but hey, corporations are weird. Now, upon discovering that their off-the-air show was continuing to drum up DVD sales and comic book sales and media tie-in sales by creating a little cult for itself, do you think they went 'yippee'? Do you think they went 'hooray'? Nope.

They served a cease and desist to the theaters doing the screenings.

This also means no more big-screen Firefly, by the way. And it simply sucks. I understand protecting copyright -- I really, truly do -- but this is another of those 'cutting off your nose to spite your face' moments, as far as I can see.
