Yesterday, I...

* Mailed a package to Wisconsin. Said package contained, among other things, the tea and chocolates I brought home from England (with intent to mail to Wisconsin), a book I bought to mail to Wisconsin in -- I think -- November, and the My Little Ponies that were meant for Kat's April birthday. Procrastination cat is bringing procrastination to the world, yo.

* Mailed a package to Colorado. Said package contained, among other things, the tea I brought home from England (with intent to mail to Colorado), some things I promised to send for someone else's birthday (that need to be relayed through Colorado), and a present purchased because the Colorado package-recipient had been having a rotten time of things. That time has passed, and the present is finally out of my house.

* Finished a chapter of Newsflesh for the first time in several months, bringing me one step closer to not spending the bulk of my attention on this book. It's a good book. It may be, in a lot of ways, the best thing I've ever written. And at the same time, I have no fewer than four other books currently being largely ignored because the things that make Newsflesh good also make it extremely difficult. I want to make it through this book, so I can start working actively on something else while it's in edits.

* Figured out several structural elements of Nativity of Chance that had previously been bothering me, and what's going on with the second of my two protagonists through the first half of the book. (Nativity has a brother/sister protagonist pair -- I seem to have a tropism towards those -- but only the male protagonist is really on-screen for the whole first section. I finally know why. GI Joe would be so proud of me.)

Today, I...

* Need to either check ticket prices and availability for Avenue Q or officially say 'look, I am too much of a stress-bunny to organize this, y'all do it yourselves'. I'm more likely to go with the former, although I will say that we're going to be taking a disassembled approach: I'll find us a date, everyone buys their own tickets according to personal seating and pricing preference. I just don't have the space in my budget to make that sort of up-front purchase, especially since I need to buy two tickets (my little sister is getting one as a birthday gift).

Note that this does not in any way address my long (and always getting longer) to-do list, or take care of the various things I've left pending.

Over-booked cat has too much to do.

Arrgh.
