Lots of silence; do not be alarmed.

My journal has been consumed by silence lately. This is not because I've been hit by a bus or eaten by llamas or anything else silly like that; no, it's just that for the last several days, I've had Nokomis, Amy, Batya, and Merav all dog-piling into my daily life, and that sort of shakes things up, from a perspective of 'doing silly little things like updating LJ anything like reliably'.

(Batya and Merav have left; Nokomis and Amy are still here. Tonight, Amy leaves; Wednesday, Nokomis leaves. The only thing worse than guests making a hash of your schedule is waving goodbye as they go away, and realizing that you already want them back again.)

I overslept by about two hours this morning, and I still feel like roughly half my body has been replaced with cookie dough. This is, in a word, Bad. In several words, it's Double-Plus Ungood, with a side-order of Craptastic. I'm hoping to feel better by the weekend, but not yet ready to count on it. On the plus side, my most exciting plans for the week to come center around watching the new episode of Veronica Mars and working on the latest chapter of Newsflesh, so it's not like I'm going to be prevented from running any marathons or anything.

Since Thanksgiving has already passed, it's probably pretty clear that 'Grave and Gravy' won't be finished before the holiday; as this has never stopped me before, I remain Unconcerned. Folks who've been enjoying 'Making Arrangements' may want to note that I actually updated Jerry's LJ, over at watchermaid, for the holiday.

More later. Now?

Now we must rinse.
