Veronica Mars, season three.

As confirmed with Rob Thomas his-own-self by the fantastic spectralbovine, season three of 'Veronica Mars' is a go. Repeat, 'Veronica Mars' has been picked up for a third season.

SEASON THREE OF 'VERONICA MARS' IS A GO, PEOPLE!!!! WHY IS THERE NOT MORE OF THE FLAILING AND THE SCREAMING????

That's better.

Now, in the land of practical, rational things, we've only been picked up for a half season (thirteen episodes), which could mean that we're currently riding the train to Cancellationville, population, almost every show I've ever cared about. So there are a few things I'd like to ask everyone to do.

1. Watch 'Veronica Mars'. Duh.

2. Tell other people to watch 'Veronica Mars'. But -- here's the kicker -- tell them nicely. I'm dead serious here, folks. I refused to watch 'Firefly' for well over a year because evangelical fans just would. Not. Back. Off. So be cool. Ask if they've seen it. Tell them why they'd like it. Offer to loan your box set, if you can. And then cut it out.

3. If you can afford a gift or loaner copy of the first season DVDs, go for it. The sales make the show look better, and they mean that you can go to someone who's on the fence and say 'experience the joy and the wonder that is our show'.

4. Pay attention to who advertises on 'Veronica Mars', and let them know how glad you are that they support the show, and that you buy their products. Only the Nielsen families actually get turned into numbers; the rest of us, however, remain dollars, and dollars have power.

WE GET OUR SHOW BACK.

Best. Tuesday. Ever.
