fresco-senorita !
I hope both of you are having a great, crisp, beautiful winter day up there in Canada :D...
... and of course lots of presents, delicious food, and good company around.
Tomorrow is Australia Day Down Under, so I'm having a nice long weekend, just chillin' with movies, tv shows, and of course, the TENNIS.
I am officially up to date with How I Met Your Mother, completely and utterly in love with BARNEY/ROBIN.
"Benefits" really broke my heart... Every time Barney smashed the TV, I teared up and went "Oh, Barneyyy..."
I loved, though, that Ted found out and was okay with it (in fact, he stopped sleeping with Robin to spare Barney's feelings). That SHOULD be the final nail in the coffin that is Ted/Robin.
Now I'm still not completely familiar with the fandom, but I was surprised to learn that not everyone immediately love Robin as much as I do.
Maybe it's because I completely identify with her and her 'coldness.' In the last episode, when Marshall called her a "robot," well I've actually been called that as well, so I understood completely when she said that she didn't like showing her feelings in corny ways.
Oh well... I must say that my favorite episode this season is still "The Fight." I JUST ADORED how Robin got totally turned on by Barney after the fight. I mean, Ted was in that fight too --- strictly speaking --- but Robin only hit on Barney... SO cute.
Also, I sort of have a theory on "THE MOTHER":
As I said, I'm not yet too familiar with the fandom, so this theory may already be flying around, but no matter, here goes...
Remember the St Patrick's Day episode, in which Ted went clubbing with a green-suited Barney? Remember Voice-Over!Ted saying that "THE MOTHER" went to that party too?
Well, seeing her outfit there, I kept an eye out for a girl wearing jeans... And guess what happened later...
Remember that? Ted bumped into that girl on his way to the bar to talk to Barney. I'd have thought that was such a random, seemingly pointless moment if I hadn't been absolutely training my eyes for a girl in jeans. SHE IS TOTALLY THE MOTHER!
Okay, it sounds crazy now, but this show is pretty good in planning things in advance (like when Robin & Ted came in with pasta-stained clothes a couple of episodes before the story of how they broke up was explained), so, yeah... I think she's the mother.
The other show I've been watching is Life and of course I absolutely adore Crews/Reese. I think Dani in particular is strikingly gorgeous, but these two are even more attractive together.
