How I Met Your Mother Barney/Robin > Ted/Robin?

Okay, so I've been gone an embarrassingly long time and this may come like such a random entry, but...

For those How I Met Your Mother fans out there, is it just me or do most people want Barney/Robin together more than Ted/RobinI got this impression after checking the LJ interest page and while that's certainly not a reflection of the general

!!!! SWEETIE, YOU DON'T KNOW HOW HAPPY YOU MADE ME BY WATCHING HIMYM. ;) I think you must've noticed by now that it's my current favorite show. I just get so invested in the characters, there's honestly no one I don't like.

Then again, I did go through the phase where I didn't like Ted and even Robin at the very beginning. Ted is hard to sympathize with, imo, especially when he's after Robin (and in extension, Robin becomes boring when she's with Ted, lol). But you know what, surprisingly enough, Ted's one of my favorites now. He's just so great when he's not with Robin, I can't tell you how much I think they're wrong for each other. I don't think that Ted and Robin have got that Ross and Rachel thing going on, since the relationship is already doomed. Hmmm, what episode are you up to, by the way? If you remember, in the pilot Older!Ted said that "this is the story of how I met your Aunt Robin". So I think Ted/Robin is doomed from the start, but idk, there ARE Ted/Robin fans out there (and I'm always surprised about it, haha), and they seem to think Ted's gonna find out a way to be with Robin in the end, even if she's not the mother. (Beurk.)

ANYHOW, SO I'M BARNEY/ROBIN ALL THE WAY. Ever since season 1, yep, very early shipper here. Have you watched 'Zip, Zip, Zip' yet? If you haven't, get to it! That episode is where it all started for me :) You'll see how much they have in common and jakdjakdhjak THEIR CHEMISTRY IS AMAZING.

Hahaha, guess what. I just read your earlier entries about HIMYM, cause I definitely remember you being one of the ones in my FLIST who loves this show :D.

I'm up to 2x20, which I'm excited about 'cause I know Ted & Robin are gonna break up soon (hee hee, I'm pretty much spoiled for some things). Yeah, that's why I couldn't really stand Ted in season one. It was like, he kept whining about Robin... I kinda knew how the gang felt everytime he went, "I'm gonna go after Robin" ---> cue eye roll. And I must say that I'm not liking the Robin in season two so much... She's just, um, kinda whipped, sorry to say.

I am worried that secretly Robin's still somehow gonna turn out to be the mother... I mean, why did future!Ted start the story with her? And he could've just changed her name for his kids (like that movie Absolutely Maybe) so that they wouldn't know that "aunt robin" is really "mom". I'd realllllyyyy hate it if it turns out that way, which is why I'm hoping there's enough fans against Ted/Robin that they wouldn't end up together...

But yeah... BARNEY & ROBIN... Oh-Em-Gee... Okay, so I've seen "Sandcastles..." so I'm spoiled, but I still can't wait to see everything that lead up to that & after... They are SUPER ADORABLE. And, yep, you guessed it, I've seen "Zip Zip Zip" too... Oh my lord, I fell in love with them good in that one, I couldn't stop squeeing throughout their scenes... When she walked in all suited up and then smoking a cigar??? HOTSVILLE!!!

I don't really like Robin in the earlier seasons either, except when she's with Barney. She's so much fun and she doesn't have to hide who she is when she's with him. 2x20... which one was that again? Have you seen the one when Ted/Robin decided to move in together? Barney's against it (obviously because he sekritly luuuurves her, lol) and I loved it when he said, "Holy crap, you're beautiful!" and Robin looks pleased. :D NYIIIAAAH. I can't wait until you get to S3. It's going to be amazing.

Hmm, you know what, I actually trust the writers wouldn't pull that one on us. Bays and Thomas are both aware of the chemistry between NPH and Cobie and when they were asked if there's going to be a Barney/Robin relationship they said, "No comment", which is my favorite answer lol. I don't know, it's rare they I feel so confident about my OTPs, but I'm pretty sure about this one. Or, you know, if she doesn't end up with Barney (nooooooo) she'll be with someone else. But not Ted. :) And about the fans, you don't have to worry. In the fandom, pretty much everyone and their mother are Barney/Robin shippers. Either that, or they're indifferent. Win-win.

When she suited up! Barney just looks so pleased and impressed with her throughout the whole episode! He said it himself, "You're a better Ted than Ted." HEEEE.

Um, as you can see, I always manage to leave loooooooooooong comments when it concerns HIMYM and/or Barney/Robin. I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH.
